How to support small businesses?

The most obvious way to support a small business is buying some of their products or services. You can tip them generously, buy your gifts or gift cards from them for your friends and family to enjoy, etc.

However, spending money is definitely not the only way you can support them!

You could get digital, advertise their shop, products or services, by tagging your friends on some of their posts, or by giving them a shout out by posting a pic of their business, or by sharing, retweeting or reposting their content.

Another way you can help them is by giving them a good, honest review that will evaluate their work.

In addition, you could offer them suggestions for improvement, as they’re always looking to get better.

Always be caring! Show them your appreciation and check in with the owners and employees.

You could also suggest and recommend your favorite shops to your family and friends.

Last but not least, commit to doing one small thing each week to help a small business!

Why support small businesses?

For starters, small business owners take huge risks and challenges to start their business. They are courageous enough to start from nothing and pursue a dream of theirs. And that deserves respect and support!

Not to mention that they work way harder than any big company who wouldn’t even be affected by your order. Small business orders are packed carefully because they’re prepared by people not machines or algorithms. So you get a special kind of care and quality in their product. The owners generally care and put so much effort into your order. They also invested and care about your country’s wellbeing, which deserves support!

Additionally, small business owners care about their employees. So you know for a fact they’re not overworking and abusing hundreds if not thousands of their employees’ time and hard work. They’re ethical, they care and respect their employees’ hard work, and appreciate and praise them, and support their needs by providing them a job.

They are also more likely to donate a certain percentage of their profits to charity or non-profit organizations.

Finally, some of them have very creative and original products that deserve appreciation!
