When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

  • Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

  • Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

  • Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

    • Location – this is derived from the IP address where the hit originated. The IP address itself is not available in GA as it is personally identifiable information (PII) which violates the terms of Google Analytics.
    • Language – derived from the language settings of the browser

-Watani may share certain personal information with its affiliates including bloggers and vendors who have verified accounts on the website

-We may share your personal information with companies or agencies that perform services for us, such as fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mails, analyzing customer data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit/debit card payments, investigating fraudulent activity, conducting customer surveys, and providing customer service.

-Some of your information might also be shared with social media networks, website plugin developers and website widgets developers. If you use any features made available to you on our website by a third party it may result in information being collected or shared between us and the third party. For example, if you use Facebook’s “Like” feature, Facebook may register the fact that you “liked” a product and may post that information on Facebook.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your users credentials whether you are a normal user or a vendor will be sent to the website’s admins. Visitor registration requests and comments may be checked by the admin or through an automated spam detection service. Also some data will be shared with Google analytics in order to measure and evaluate our advertising ROI.

Your contact information will only be collected or shared with the admins of Watani. However other contact information might be collected by the vendors on Watani.

  • How do we protect your data

While our Human resources abilities in security are limited, and since no security system is adequately able to defy all kinds of security breaches without exception. We take the security task seriously and we use reasonable and adequate approaches to protect our users’ data and information. We don’t promise a perfect protection of your data but we do promise an efficient and a reasonable one.

  • What data breach procedures do we have in place

In case a spam user/vendor account was created on the website, the admins will delete it after the verification process. In case a user’s or a vendor’s account was stolen or hacked, the admin can deactivate it, delete it or reset the password and send it to the original user.

  • What third parties do we receive data from

The third parties include social media networks, google analytics, and suppliers.

  • Changes To our Policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. You should review our privacy policy periodically so that you keep up-to-date on our most current practices.

  • Terms of Service

By using any Watani Services, you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions (the “Terms of Service”).

As used in these Terms of Service, “we”, “us” and “Watani” means the applicable Watani Contracting Party.

  1. You may not use the Watani Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws), the laws applicable to you in your customer’s jurisdiction, or the laws of Lebanon. 
  2. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Services, or access to the Services without the express written permission by Watani.
  3. You agree not to post any fabricated reviews on our social media.
  4. You acknowledge and agree that your use of the Services, including information transmitted to or stored by Watani.

 

  1. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Services for any reason, without notice at any time. Not all Services and features are available in every jurisdiction and we are under no obligation to make any Services or features available in any jurisdiction.
  2. Verbal or written abuse of any kind (including threats of abuse or retribution) of any Watani customer, employee, member, or officer will result in immediate service termination.
  3. We are authorized to remove any comment unrelated to our products or that we deem harmful.
  4. We reserve the right to provide our services to your competitors and make no promise of exclusivity in any particular market segment. 
  5. We have the right to withhold the prices of the items publicly and communicate them privately to our customers for a better service.
