Smaller, Yet Bigger : Why Small Businesses?
In this world, a lot of brands made it and became big while others still dream big. So why not make some of these dreams come true by supporting small businesses?
During what seemed to be a never-ending pandemic and an everlasting lockdown, the world has shifted to online shopping, or even to small shops near them. And personally speaking, this has changed my life and my perspective on things.
If you want to start making change, start somewhere and shop local small businesses.
- Stand Out…
We have been buying and supporting fast fashion for as long as I can remember. Now tell me, how many times did you see other people wearing the same clothes? So many times, right?
By buying clothes, accessories, shoes, decor, and so on from smaller businesses, you’re standing out from others.
Honestly, small business owners are most of the time creative people that come up with fun pieces that are unique and really stand out from everything you can buy at the mall, at Zara, or at any big retail shop.
Plus, with small businesses, you can sometimes customize whatever you want according to your style and liking.
- Made with love!
With most small businesses, each item is handmade or designed by the owner himself. A lot of time, effort, and love go into each item they display and each item they sell.
In fact, it can be a painting, a piece of clothing, accessories, food… Everything takes time but with small businesses, it takes time and love to create the beautiful items that they offer.
So, buy these thoughtfully made products and feel the love each time you actually use them.
- A win-win…
Supporting small businesses, and specifically local, is a win-win for everyone.
By buying, you are helping what might be a self-employed artist that really cares about what they’re doing rather than the money they’re making. You would be making their day as well!
By buying, you are helping yourself stand out and feel special. You are also being unique by buying items that are not available for everyone around the earth.
By buying local, you are truly helping local stores, local factories, local farms, local productivity, local designers, and mainly your local economy.
So, do yourself and others a favor and buy local.
